How it works

• Check before you wait

  Transcribing a score takes time, and a bad photo wastes all of it. A pre-flight check runs in under a second on the camera screen and tells you whether the shot is worth uploading at all, before you commit to the wait.

• Practice mode

  Play along and it waits for you to hit the right note before moving on, either from a MIDI keyboard or from your microphone. Grouping is measured in beats rather than seconds, so it behaves the same at any tempo.

• It tells you what it got wrong

  Pitch and timing fail independently, so they are scored separately rather than blended into one reassuring number. On a 52-score piano benchmark the engines recover most of the note sequence but far less of the note positions. That gap is reported rather than hidden, because a single score would tell you to trust timing you should not.
